Kantox donates to hospitals and health workers fighting virus on the frontline
Like many other European businesses, Kantox has also been feeling the effects of the global pandemic. But we are also fortunate to be in a position to help those fighting the virus on the frontline. Kantox operates in many countries around the world, with some of our key European markets and clients being meaningfully impacted. For this reason, we are donating to five organisations leading the fight against Covid-19 in Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, France and Germany. Funds will go towards supplying much-needed material and services to health workers fighting this pandemic. The donation of €5,000 is the second action we are taking against the negative impact of Covid-19 – the first being the #PayitForward initiative launched by Kantox on March 19.
As Kantox Co-founder and CEO, Philippe Gelis, explains, “We are grateful to be in a good financial position to help those fighting Covid-19 on the frontlines and thank all the healthcare workers for their efforts. We hope to provide more support in the future.”
Organisations that Kantox are supporting
The organisations and charities Kantox has chosen to support are l’Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, (Hospital Clinic of Barcelona), Spain. Funds collected will go towards research and the care of patients and their families.
In Italy, we are making a donation to Italian hospitals. Emergency donations are being collected to provide professional medical equipment, elderly assistance and education to students that are missing school.
In the United Kingdom, we are donating to the NHS Charities Together appeal. These funds will go to member NHS charities which include support for the health and emotional wellbeing of health workers.
In France, we have selected Fondation Hôpitaux de Paris (Foundation Hospital of Paris) which is working with the French Hospital Federation to provide additional support to French hospitals on the frontline.
In Germany, we will support Deutsches Rotes Kreuz, the local branch of the Red Cross. Funds are destined for volunteers that are helping the elderly in the wake of the pandemic. This includes psychosocial support and care in times of quarantine, along with food delivery and other actions designed to support the elderly.
